Karapetyan sues Pashinyan's party

The leader of the Strong Armenia party, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, has filed a lawsuit against the ruling force Civil Contract of acting Prime Minister of the Republic Nikol Pashinyan and the Public Television of Armenia (PTA), demanding a refutation of slander against him.

In the lawsuit filed in the civil court of Armenia, Karapetyan's defense demands that PTA and the Civil Contract party publicly, within three days from the moment the judicial act on satisfying this lawsuit enters into force, refute the "slanderous information" against Karapetyan contained in the pre-election video of the ruling force, which was distributed on the Public Television of Armenia.

In particular, it is required to refute the characterization of Karapetyan as an "oligarch", "creator of the three-headed war party", "deceiving the people", "intimidating", "bribing voters to come to power", "provoking war", "liquidating the independence of Armenia", "being a foreign spy".

Karapetyan's defense called these public statements against him defiling honor and dignity and demanded apologies from the Civil Contract party and PTA.
