Macron announces detention of tanker coming from Russia

French naval forces, with support from Britain and other partners, detained a sanctioned tanker coming from Russia in the Atlantic Ocean.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced this.

"Yesterday morning, the French Navy detained another oil tanker coming from Russia that is subject to international sanctions — Tagor. This operation was conducted in the Atlantic Ocean on the high seas with the support of a number of partners, including the United Kingdom, in strict accordance with maritime law," the French leader wrote on X.
