Trump announces reaching agreement on ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah

U.S. President Donald Trump reported reaching an agreement on a ceasefire between Israel and the Hezbollah movement.

Trump wrote on his page on the social network Truth Social.

According to him, the telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was "productive" and as a result, a decision was made not to send Israeli troops to Beirut.

Trump also stated that units moving in the direction of Beirut were ordered to return.

In addition, he noted that negotiations with Hezbollah were conducted through high-ranking intermediaries, which ended positively.

"They agreed to cease fire. Israel will not attack them, and they will not attack Israel," the U.S. president stated.
