Pashinyan calls resolution of heads of four EAEU countries on Armenia balanced

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called the resolution adopted by the heads of four Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries on the need to hold a referendum in Armenia on its membership in this Eurasian integration association or the EU very balanced.

During pre-election campaigning in the Gegharkunik region, in response to a journalist's question about whether he had received the resolution adopted by the leaders of the four EAEU countries following their meeting in Astana on May 29, Pashinyan said he had read it. "I read it. The text is very balanced, and it turns out that our colleagues from the four Eurasian Economic Union countries support the idea of holding a referendum in Armenia on Armenia's accession to the EU. You understand: as long as Armenia has not actually applied to the EU to become a full member of the European Union, there is simply no substance to the referendum. Until this happens, there will be no referendum. As soon as this happens, there will be a referendum," Pashinyan said.
