Trump to take part in NATO summit in Ankara

U.S. President Donald Trump will take part in the NATO heads of state summit in Ankara.

As Anadolu reports, this was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio while speaking in the U.S. Congress.

Rubio noted that the upcoming meeting could become the most important in the history of the alliance, since it is necessary to clarify and resolve a number of issues within its framework. According to the secretary of state, despite the preservation of U.S. membership, NATO needs significant changes.

"The United States still remains in NATO, and we will be there," he said.

It should be recalled that the NATO summit in the Turkish capital will take place July 7-8.
