Pashinyan states that his party will receive parliamentary majority and form cabinet

Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated that following the elections the ruling Civil Contract will compose a parliamentary majority and form the government.

He stated this in parliament, where he came for the discussion of the 2025 budget.

"In the coming months there will be an opportunity to discuss this topic," he said.

According to his assessment, on June 7 the Armenian people with their vote stood up for the state, independence, and peace. He claims that the elections became a "rout of the three-headed war party."

According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission, the Civil Contract party received 49.81% (727,160); the Strong Armenia bloc – 23.29% (340,062); the Armenia bloc – 9.94% (145,097); the Prosperous Armenia party – 4% (58,368).

The total number of those who voted is 1,476,916.

Parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on June 7. Sixteen parties and two blocs participated in them.
