List of digital platforms with restrictions for children to be presented soon

Introduction of some restrictions on the use of digital platforms for children under 16 is envisaged.

This does not mean that general restrictions or complete bans will be applied.

AZERTAC was told this by Milli Majlis deputy Azer Allahveranov, noting that it is only about certain platforms.

“The list of these platforms will be presented by the relevant structures in the near future. Not all platforms are harmful. In the era of rapid development of digital technologies, there are platforms used for various purposes. However, observations show that excessive activity of children on some platforms leads to the formation of digital addiction in them.

The risks of digital addiction are not limited to cybercrime and other negative manifestations – it also has a serious negative impact on the psychological state of children,” the parliamentarian added.
