Iran reports destruction of four targets at US base in Jordan
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) destroyed four facilities at the US Al-Azraq base in Jordan, reports the Mehr news agency.
“The IRGC struck the US airbase in Al-Azraq... The IRGC press service stated that its aerospace forces launched solid-fuel ballistic missiles at the base, destroying four important targets, including hangars with F-35 military aircraft, as well as the US Army command and control center,” the report says.
Earlier, the Guard Corps reported strikes on US 5th Fleet forces in Bahrain. It also emphasized that in case of continued hostile actions by the United States, more severe retaliatory measures would follow.
On Wednesday night, the Pentagon's Central Command opened fire on Iranian territory, justifying the attack as a response to an incident with a US military helicopter. According to Axios portal journalist Barak Ravid, there were three waves of strikes in total.
