Fars: Iran has not yet approved any text for an agreement with the US
Iran has not yet approved any text of an agreement with Washington on the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict, despite the earlier statement on June 11 by US President Donald Trump about reaching agreements to end the war.
The Fars news agency reported this, citing a source. According to the agency, some time after the American leader's statement that several final elements of the agreements with Iran had been agreed upon, a source close to the Iranian negotiating team said that no text for a preliminary memorandum with the US had yet been approved by the Islamic Republic.
The US leader later stated that the United States had agreed to end the war with Iran, but the relevant documents were still awaiting signature. Despite Fars reporting that the Iranian side had not yet approved the text of the memorandum, Trump also later claimed that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei could have approved the terms of a future agreement with the US.
