Karapetyan bloc demands annulment of election results in Armenia

The Strong Armenia bloc, led by Russian entrepreneur Samvel Karapetyan, filed a statement with the Central Election Commission demanding that the results of the parliamentary elections held on June 7 be declared invalid, said bloc representative Aram Vardevanyan.

"We are submitting to the CEC a statement on recognizing the election results as invalid," Vardevanyan told journalists.

According to him, the reason is violations not only on election day and during the pre-election period. He explained that this statement is needed for further appeal to the Constitutional Court.
