Erdogan: US-Iran agreement is an important event on the path to peace and tranquility in the region
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed the US-Iran agreement, calling the arrangements, "which the whole world has long needed," an important event on the path to peace and tranquility.
As AZERTAC reports, in the Turkish leader's social media post, he expresses sincere hope that the American-Iranian agreement "will contribute to the establishment of lasting peace and security in the region where Turkey is located." The head of state called on all parties to avoid rhetoric and actions that could provoke an escalation of tensions in the period preceding the direct signing of the agreement.
"It is important to be vigilant regarding possible provocations," the post says.
Erdogan thanked Pakistan for its "exceptional mediation efforts in ensuring the effectiveness of the negotiations," as well as Qatar and Saudi Arabia for supporting diplomatic initiatives.
"Turkey will continue to support all efforts aimed at establishing peace, stability, and tranquility in the region, contributing to long-term solutions based on diplomacy and international law," the politician assured.
