These forces are managed from one point - Pashinyan on the unification of the opposition

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on the statement by the leader of the Strong Armenia bloc Samvel Karapetyan about the start of the process of unification of opposition political forces.

In a conversation with journalists after the government meeting, answering a question from Armenpress about whether the statement by Samvel Karapetyan about the start of the process of unification of opposition forces can be considered a prelude to the start of post-election processes in Armenia, Pashinyan replied: "The unification you mentioned did not happen recently, but a long time ago, it was just not announced so as not to spoil the mood of the people. These are the same forces, managed from one point, acting on the basis of the same principles. What is new here? This is an obvious fact."

On June 17 Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the Strong Armenia bloc, announced the start of the process of unification of opposition political forces.

According to the results of the parliamentary elections held in Armenia on June 7, the Civil Contract party, which received a stable majority and will form the government, as well as the opposition blocs Strong Armenia and Armenia passed into parliament. Six political forces that participated in the elections – the Strong Armenia alliance, the Armenia alliance, the Prosperous Armenia party, the Armenian National Congress party, the Bright Armenia party and the National Democratic Pole party – issued a joint statement, noting that the presented official data on the elections do not reflect the true will of the people and the exact election results.
