Trump believes that for Iran signing a memorandum with the US became capitulation

American President Donald Trump believes that for Iran signing a memorandum of understanding with the United States is equivalent to capitulation.

Trump expressed this view on June 18 in an interview with the Axios portal.

"This is really, probably, unconditional capitulation. That's what I think," the US leader said. Thus he responded to the journalist's remark, pointing out that Trump had previously stated his intention to seek "unconditional capitulation" from Tehran, and the signing of a memorandum of understanding by the parties does not indicate such an outcome of the conflict.

"We have fully inflicted a military defeat on them," the head of the Washington administration believes. "We have the most powerful armed forces in the world," he claimed. "Who else could impose such a blockade? I imposed a naval blockade [of Iran]. And no ship could pass," Trump said. To the question of whether he realized as a result of the conflict the limitations of his capabilities to use force, the White House head replied: "There are no limitations."
