American Vice President JD Vance does not plan to depart for Switzerland on Thursday evening Eastern Time for the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.

His representative told journalists this.

"At the moment, the vice president does not plan to fly out this evening," the vice president's press pool quoted the staffer as saying. "We hope to begin negotiations on technical issues as soon as possible," the representative added. Vance previously stated that the mentioned ceremony will most likely take place over the weekend.
