US vice president arrives in Switzerland for negotiations with Iranian side
US Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Switzerland for negotiations with the Iranian delegation.
CNN reported this, citing his office.
“Vance arrived in Switzerland for negotiations between the US and Iran,” the channel noted.
Before his departure, Vance stated that he intends to remain at the negotiations with the Iranian delegation in Switzerland for no more than two days.
Technical negotiations between Iran and the United States, as well as the mediator states Pakistan and Qatar, are set to begin on June 21 in the Swiss city of Bürgenstock. They are expected to take place in a closed format. Vance stated that the main topics of the US-Iran negotiations in Switzerland will be the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program and a ceasefire in Lebanon.
