Iranian diplomat: Tehran ready for any scenario in negotiations with Washington

Iran is ready for any scenario during negotiations with the US.

This was stated by Iran's permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Ali Bahreini.

"Iran is conducting negotiations (with the US – ed.) with all caution. We are ready for any options and any scenario. Iran has no reason to trust the US," Bahreini told journalists in Geneva.

He recalled that Washington started a war against Iran at a time when Tehran was participating in negotiations with it and was ready to conclude an agreement on the nuclear dossier.

On June 21, technical negotiations between Iran and the US took place in Burgenstock, Switzerland, with Qatar and Pakistan as mediators. US Vice President JD Vance and an official representative of Iran's Foreign Ministry stated that progress had been achieved in the negotiations. Following the first round, a statement was released noting that Iran and the US, with mediation from Qatar and Pakistan, agreed on a roadmap to reach a final agreement within 60 days and established a mechanism for further technical negotiations.
