CSTO: unfriendly steps by the West around Armenia may lead to escalation
Unfriendly military-political steps by Western countries around Armenia may lead to further escalation in the region.
This was stated by the current chairman of the CSTO Permanent Council Viktor Vasilyev at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
"Separately, we should dwell on the situation in the South Caucasus, including taking into account the elections in Armenia. The US plans to ensure the alleged security of the Zangezur corridor, the intentions of EU countries to include Armenia in their military structures, as well as other unfriendly steps in this region will lead to further escalation of the situation in the future. We are keeping the situation under control," he noted.
