Deployment of stabilization troops to Ukraine will lead to creation of new Berlin Wall - Lavrov

Proposals by Europeans on Ukraine, involving the deployment of stabilization troops on territory controlled by Kiev, will lead to the emergence of a new Berlin Wall, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

His words are reported by RIA Novosti.

"The main thing (in Europe's proposal - ed.) is to deploy troops on what remains of Ukraine... Stabilization forces are the essence, the core of the guarantees that Europe will give Ukraine in terms of security. That is, this is forever a new Berlin Wall," Lavrov said, speaking at the XII International Scientific and Expert Forum "Primakov Readings."
