Trump states US readiness to provide assistance amid Venezuela earthquake

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he had instructed the relevant agencies to be ready for a quick response in connection with the strong earthquake that occurred in Venezuela.

"Two powerful earthquakes have just hit the great people of Venezuela, both are large-scale and have led to a huge number of victims. The United States is ready, willing and able to help! I have instructed all services of our government to be ready to act quickly," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president noted that Washington "will be next to our new and great friends," calling the incoming reports about the consequences "unfortunate."

As reported, interim Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez announced the introduction of a state of emergency in the country after a strong earthquake.
