France detains another tanker from Russia's shadow fleet - VIDEO
The French Navy detained the tanker Deliver at sea, which was transiting off the coast of Sicily in violation of international maritime law.
French President Emmanuel Macron reported this on his page on the social network X.
"This action against the 'shadow fleet', carried out just a few days after a similar operation by the United Kingdom, clearly demonstrates the determination of European countries. We will not allow the 'shadow fleet' to bypass sanctions and finance Russia's war machine," Macron emphasized.
According to the French leader, Europe is full of determination: "It will continue to make all necessary efforts to increase Russia's costs in this war and ensure the achievement of a lasting and long-term peace in Ukraine."
