Iran says US violated two points of memorandum
The US violated two points of the memorandum concluded with Iran on resolving the conflict, and Tehran will respond to every violation, said military adviser to the Iranian supreme leader Mohsen Rezaei.
"The US, by supporting the actions of its proxy forces in the region (meaning Israel's actions in Lebanon - ed.), violated the first point of the memorandum, and by continuing the escalation of tension in the Strait of Hormuz - the fifth. The response to the violation of any point of the memorandum will be swift and crushing," Rezaei wrote on X.
The US Central Command of the Armed Forces confirmed the day before that it had carried out strikes on Iranian territory in response to the attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the report, American aviation struck Iranian missile and drone warehouses, as well as coastal radar facilities. The Islamic Republic, in turn, stated that in response it attacked the locations of US Armed Forces.
