China reports one dead and 13 injured after plane crash in Beijing
As a result of the crash of a light aircraft in Beijing, the pilot was killed and another 13 people were injured.
As Reuters reports, the relevant statement was made by the administration of Chaoyang District.
It was reported that the incident occurred on June 26. A single-engine two-seat light sports aircraft collided with a high-rise building during flight in the eastern part of the Third Ring Road.
"There was only the pilot on board, who died," the district administration said in a statement.
The causes of the crash have not yet been named.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the collision, two large glass panels of the skyscraper's facade were damaged. All 13 injured are receiving medical care.
The authorities are investigating the causes of the incident.
