In Afghanistan, 36 killed due to Pakistan attacks announced

More than 30 people were killed and another 163 injured as a result of several nighttime strikes by Pakistan on Afghanistan.

This was reported by the deputy official representative of the Afghan government, Hamdullah Fitrat.

"The Pakistani attacks carried out last night resulted in the death of 36 civilians, including women and children, and another 163 people were injured," he wrote on X.

According to Fitrat, at night the Pakistani armed forces struck villages in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar. The most civilians were killed as a result of a strike on a village in Paktia province in the east of the country. In addition, the strikes led to the death of livestock and the complete destruction of three residential houses.

On the evening of February 26, fighting resumed on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Kabul stated that it is conducting a military operation in response to Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan territory. Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif reported that now his country and the Taliban government in Afghanistan are in a state of open armed confrontation.
