Netanyahu: Israel will draw US attention to Erdogan's statements

The Israeli side takes the rhetoric of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan regarding the Jewish state very seriously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting.

"Hardly a day goes by without Erdogan calling for the destruction of Israel. We take these words very seriously because, if there is anything we have learned from the history of our people, it is that when someone says they intend to destroy you, you must take them seriously," Netanyahu said.

He added that Israel will draw the attention of "American friends" to these remarks.
