More than 6 thousand people rescued in Venezuela after earthquake

After the devastating earthquake that occurred on June 24, more than 6 thousand people were rescued in Venezuela and assistance was provided to tens of thousands of families.

This was reported on the air of the Venezolana de Television channel by the chairman of the National Assembly of Venezuela Jorge Rodriguez.

"6,461 people were rescued, and assistance was provided to 80,870 families," he said.

According to Rodriguez, 28,380 victims are receiving medical care in hospitals and field camps.

He also said that more than 26 thousand military personnel, 15,467 volunteers and 3,660 rescuers from foreign countries are participating in the elimination of the consequences of the natural disaster.
