Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijani-American relations successfully developing
«It is satisfying that recently Azerbaijani-American relations have been successfully developing along an ascending line. We highly value the strategic partnership relations established between the two countries, express our gratitude to you for the constant great importance and support that you attach to strengthening interstate ties. I express confidence that the Charter of Strategic Partnership signed in February, which has raised our relations to a qualitatively new stage, along with traditional areas such as economy, energy, connectivity, security, will give impetus to the development of partnership in the field of digital transformation, artificial intelligence and other important directions».
As AZERTAC reports, this is stated in the congratulatory letter of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to President Donald Trump on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of US independence.
«We also extremely highly value your decisive efforts aimed at promoting the peace agenda and ensuring sustainable development in the South Caucasus. The results of the historic trilateral meeting held on August 8 last year in the White House at your initiative created a completely new positive atmosphere and situation in our region. Azerbaijan and Armenia are already living in conditions of peace and building trade relations. At the same time, I would like to particularly note the constant support provided by your country to the implementation of infrastructure projects serving stability and prosperity in the region, in particular the "International Route of Peace and Prosperity of Trump", which will provide alternative, reliable and safe connectivity between Asia and Europe,» the head of our state emphasized.
