Iran's new Supreme Leader did not attend the farewell ceremony for his father

Sons of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei made their first public appearance since the start of the U.S.-Iran war on February 28 this year.

As AZERTAC reports, the sons of the former Supreme Leader Mustafa, Masoud and Meysam took part in the farewell ceremony for their father on Sunday. However, Mojtaba Khamenei, who was elected the new Supreme Leader of Iran after his father's death, did not come to the funeral ceremony.

According to Iranian sources, Mojtaba Khamenei insisted on his participation in his father's funeral. However, the Supreme Leader's security service did not grant permission for this.
