Almost half of respondents in Poland consider Ukraine responsible for the escalation of the conflict between Warsaw and Kyiv.

This is evidenced by a survey by SW Research for RP.pl, as reported by European Pravda.

Survey participants were asked who they believe is responsible for the escalation of the conflict between Poland and Ukraine.

12.7% of respondents indicated Poland in response to this question, while 46.6% of respondents believe that Ukraine is responsible for the escalation of the conflict.

25.4% of respondents believe that both sides are responsible for the escalation.

11.4% of survey participants have no opinion on this issue. 4% of respondents had not heard about the conflict.

"Men (54%) are much more likely to perceive Ukraine as the party primarily responsible for the conflict than women (39%). This opinion is also shared by more than half of respondents with an income from 5,001 to 7,000 zlotys net (51%), as well as almost six out of ten respondents from cities with a population of 200,000 to 499,000 people," commented Piotr Zimolzhak, vice president of the board of SW Research.

The study was conducted by SW Research among users of the SW Panel online platform from June 30 to July 1, 2026. The analysis covered a group of 800 internet users over the age of 18.
