Number of deaths due to earthquake in Venezuela rises to 3342
The number of victims of the earthquake in Venezuela that occurred on June 24 continues to grow.
As of today, 3342 people are listed among the dead, said Chairman of the National Assembly of Venezuela Jorge Rodriguez on the social network X.
16 740 people continue treatment, 6462 people were rescued from under the rubble, he clarified. 23 820 injured people have been discharged from hospitals. 17 345 people have become homeless, added Rodriguez. As a result of two underground tremors, 856 buildings were damaged, and another 190 were completely destroyed.
29 567 specialists are participating in the liquidation of the consequences, including 4088 international rescuers, as well as another 27 482 volunteers, Rodriguez reported.
