Trump states 'powerful strike on Iran' and his 'dissatisfaction with NATO'
U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking on the second day of the NATO summit in Ankara at the presidential complex Beshtepe, made new statements on Iran.
“Last night we delivered a powerful strike on Iran. They will not be able to possess nuclear weapons,” Trump said.
Trump also expressed dissatisfaction with NATO, stating: “I am dissatisfied with NATO. On the issue of Iran, they did not help us.
Spain is behaving hostilely.”
As previously reported by the U.S. Armed Forces Central Command (CENTCOM), American troops began delivering a series of powerful strikes on Iran “in response to IRI attacks against three ships in the Strait of Hormuz.”
American troops attacked more than 60 boats of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that the American attack on Iran violates the first and second points of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
The Naval and Aerospace Forces of the IRGC reported strikes on 85 American military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to U.S. attacks on Iranian territory.
