Erdogan: Turkey ready to contribute to demining of Strait of Hormuz

Besides diplomatic efforts, Turkey is ready to make the necessary contribution to demining the Strait of Hormuz.

This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the 36th NATO summit of heads of state and government in Ankara.

"I note with satisfaction the decisive position of my friend Mr. Trump, which, despite attempts at sabotage, contributes to finding ways to resolve the crisis around Iran," he said.

"Taking the opportunity, I express gratitude to the United States and Spain, as well as Germany and Italy, which additionally deployed air defense systems, for the support provided by NATO forces in protection against missiles aimed at Turkey," added the Turkish president.
