Qatar states readiness for retaliatory actions after Iran's strikes based on Article 51 of the UN Charter

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar stated that the emirate reserves the right to retaliatory actions after missile strikes from Iran. The foreign policy department of Doha emphasized that retaliatory measures will be taken on the basis of Article 51 of the UN Charter.

In an official statement, the emirate's Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that Doha places full legal responsibility on Tehran for these attacks and all their consequences. The Qatari side also strongly condemned the strikes on the territories of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait, calling the actions of the Iranian side a flagrant violation of sovereignty and the principles of good neighborliness. The department called for an immediate cessation of military actions in the region and a return to diplomatic dialogue.

Air attacks using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles were recorded on July 12 in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE and Oman. The missile strike over the territory of Qatar was repelled by air defense systems. As a result of the fall of debris from intercepted aerial targets, three people were injured, including a child.
