Trump: Israel would not have survived without the US
American President Donald Trump is convinced that Israel would not have survived without support from the United States.
"And you know who wouldn't have survived without us? Israel," Trump told reporters aboard his plane en route from Washington to the state of Michigan, where he will take part in a campaign event near Detroit ahead of the November midterm elections to the US Congress.
Trump explained that he primarily means the situation surrounding Iran. "If I hadn't dealt with this issue, hadn't blown up what essentially would soon have become nuclear weapons, <...> Israel would have been finished months ago. Years ago, if I hadn't put an end to Obama's terrible deal," claimed the White House chief.
He was referring to the airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow carried out by the Pentagon in June 2025, as well as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed by Britain, Germany, China, Russia, the US, and France in 2015 with Iran to resolve the issue of Tehran's nuclear developments. Trump decided to withdraw the US from this agreement in 2018.
