Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev shared a post on his social media pages on the occasion of August 1 - Day of the Azerbaijani Alphabet and Language.
The publication states:
"Today the Azerbaijani language is native to more than 50 million people.
It is we - the independent Azerbaijani state - who are the guardians of the pure, rich literary Azerbaijani language."
