Prime Minister of Lithuania called President Ilham Aliyev
On August 10, Prime Minister of Lithuania Mindaugas Sinkevičius called President Ilham Aliyev.

During the telephone conversation, the positive dynamics observed lately in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Lithuania were noted with satisfaction. In this regard, mention was made of the visit of former Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Inga Ruginienė to our country in April this year and her talks with President Ilham Aliyev.
The head of our state congratulated Mindaugas Sinkevičius on his election to the post of Prime Minister.
Mindaugas Sinkevičius expressed gratitude for the congratulations and stated that, as Prime Minister, he would constantly keep the development of our bilateral relations in the center of attention.
During the telephone conversation, issues of cooperation in the field of energy between Azerbaijan and Lithuania were discussed, in particular ensuring energy security, as well as increasing trade turnover.
The Prime Minister of Lithuania conveyed congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit and the agreements reached at it.
The head of our state expressed gratitude for the congratulations.
During the telephone conversation, relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union were discussed, and it was noted that the high-level contacts held recently had made a substantial contribution to the development of cooperation. It was emphasized that Lithuania constantly supports the development of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the European Union.
The President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Lithuania also exchanged views on the current situation on the international arena.
