President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, who is on a visit to Baku, and discussed with him the prospects of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations.
As 1news.az reports, the head of state wrote about this on the social network X.
"We shared pleasant memories connected with our acquaintance spanning more than 20 years, recalled our joint work aimed at strengthening Azerbaijani-Ukrainian relations, and exchanged views on their further prospects. During the meeting, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan presented him with a certificate of honorary citizen of the city of Irpin," the post says.
