Tokayev thanks Ilham Aliyev for congratulations on holding the elections
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked his colleagues — President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon — for their warm congratulations on the successful holding of the first elections to the unicameral Kurultai in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan.

Tokayev noted that these parliamentary elections became clear evidence of the maturity and unity of the citizens of Kazakhstan, who demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and active patriotism, sincere concern for the bright future of the people, especially of the rising generation.
According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the comprehensive modernization of Kazakhstan, as well as political and economic reforms, have become an irreversible trend and, as the results of the elections to the Kurultai showed, enjoy the support of the overwhelming majority of citizens. This fact is a reliable guarantee of the success of further plans for building and developing a Just, Progressive, Clean Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev wished the heads of the friendly states further success in implementing plans and programs aimed at the sustainable development of their countries.
To recall, elections of deputies to the unicameral Kurultai were held in Kazakhstan on August 23.
