Erdogan to visit Bishkek for participation in the SCO summit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Kyrgyzstan's capital, Bishkek, on August 31 – September 1.
As 1news.az reports, this was announced by the head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, Burhanettin Duran, on his page on the social network X.
"Recep Tayyip Erdogan, having accepted the invitation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, will visit Bishkek on August 31 – September 1, 2026, to participate in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," he wrote.
As part of the visit, Erdogan will speak at the summit and hold bilateral meetings with leaders.
Recall that Erdogan will also meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
