Ilham Aliyev congratulates Sadyr Japarov on the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence
President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country's independence.

The message reads:
"Dear Sadyr Nurgojoevich,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend to you and, through you, to your entire people my most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the fraternal Kyrgyz Republic.
Today, under your leadership, Kyrgyzstan has achieved important successes in strengthening statehood, in socio-economic progress and large-scale development, and has gained high prestige on the international stage. As a fraternal country, we rejoice in Kyrgyzstan's successes as if they were our own.
It is gratifying that relations between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, bound by traditional ties of friendship and brotherhood, developing from year to year, have today reached the level of alliance and acquired new content. My recent state visit to your hospitable country demonstrated the determination for close partnership and the existence of a broad agenda of cooperation, laying the foundation for a new stage in the history of Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz relations.
I am confident that Azerbaijani-Kyrgyz ties and the alliance, in line with the interests of our peoples, will continue to develop and strengthen along an upward path thanks to our joint efforts.
