Head of Georgia's State Security Service resigns

The head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Geka Geladze, wrote on social media that he had submitted his resignation from the post.

"As a result of consultations with the political team, I will continue my work in another agency, where I will keep serving the interests of our country and society with full responsibility," Geladze said.

In 2025-2026, Geladze held the positions of interior minister and then head of the State Security Service of Georgia.
