Iran's Foreign Ministry: Mutual understanding with Oman has been finalized
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated that reaching a mutual understanding between Iran and Oman as two coastal states has been finalized.
As IRIB reports, he announced this during a press conference.
According to Baghaei, Yemen's problems have long-standing roots, and Iran is ready to hold a dialogue to resolve them. He also noted that Yemen makes its decisions independently, and its people have demonstrated a desire for freedom.
"The continuation of the war in the region between Muslim countries has only one winner — Israel," the Iranian Foreign Ministry representative stated.
Baghaei also noted that Yemen has been under a harsh siege for the past 12 years, and over the last three years it has been subjected to attacks by the United States and Israel.
