A reception held in Baku in honor of participants of the 7th meeting of heads of Muslim religious administrations of OTS member states

A reception was organized in Baku for participants of the 7th meeting of heads of Muslim religious administrations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the 1st International Conference on the topic "The Summit of Seyid Yahya Bakuvi in the Cultural Heritage of the Islamic World: Moderate Values and Contemporary Challenges."

As AZERTAC reports, speaking at the event, the chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade assessed the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity as an important historical event, and spoke about the restoration of religious and cultural monuments and the large-scale construction work being carried out in Karabakh. He emphasized the importance of relations of friendship and brotherhood between Turkic states, as well as cooperation between state and religious leaders.

The Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Mohammed Abdelsalam, highly appreciated Azerbaijan's efforts to strengthen peace, tolerance and human brotherhood in the region. He particularly noted that President Ilham Aliyev gives priority to peace and has been awarded the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity."

The chairman of Türkiye's Presidency of Religious Affairs, Safi Arpaguş, noted that Azerbaijan is an important bridge of brotherhood between the Turkic world and the Islamic world. He emphasized that strengthening unity and solidarity between Turkic and Muslim states creates great opportunities for a common future.

The reception was attended by heads of Muslim religious administrations of OTS member and observer states, religious figures, conference participants, and representatives of the state and the public.
