Nine militants killed in Pakistan
Security forces and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Pakistan's Balochistan province have killed nine militants, including a commander of a banned group, during two separate operations in the districts of Mastung, Pishin, and Qila Abdullah.
According to Dawn, in Mastung three militants, including a commander named Naqib, were killed as a result of a precision strike on their vehicle using a quadcopter.
Six more militants were killed during an operation by the CTD, police, and other law enforcement agencies in Pishin and Qila Abdullah. During the exchange of fire, which lasted about an hour on the outskirts of Saranan, four CTD officers were wounded.
The operations were carried out based on intelligence information. Weapons and other materials were seized from the militants.
