Netanyahu's plane will not land at New York airport

The plane of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not land at a New York airport during his upcoming visit.

This was reported by Ynet.

According to the publication, the security services made this decision over concerns that New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani might not allow the plane to remain at the airport for the entire duration of the visit.

Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey or a nearby military airfield are being considered as alternative options.

As Ynet notes, Netanyahu's visit will take place under unprecedented security measures. The U.S. Secret Service will significantly increase its involvement in protecting him and will accompany the prime minister from the moment of landing until his return flight.
