Diesel prices in the U.S. rise to the highest level in the country's history

The average price of diesel fuel in the U.S. has once again reached a record high, rising to $6.23 per gallon.

This is indicated by data from the national automobile association and calculations by TASS.

The most expensive diesel fuel is sold in the state of California — $8.15 per gallon. It is followed by Washington ($7.22) and Hawaii ($6.93). The cheapest is in the states of Wyoming and Texas ($5.83 each) and Oklahoma ($5.84).

The current average price of diesel fuel has risen by 68.3% compared with the beginning of the year.

The previous all-time record was set on September 11, when the average price of diesel fuel in the United States reached $6.05 per gallon.
