Russia and Ukraine carry out exchange of bodies of fallen soldiers

The Russian and Ukrainian sides have conducted a new round of exchanges of the bodies of fallen servicemen, State Duma deputy Shamsail Saraliev, a member of the parliamentary coordination group on matters related to the military operation, told RBC.

According to Saraliev, the exchange took place at the "Novaya Guta" border crossing on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. Russia handed over 252 bodies of fallen servicemen, and Ukraine 23.

The Ukrainian coordination headquarters also confirmed the exchange. It specified that the International Committee of the Red Cross assisted in the return of the bodies of the fallen.
