U.S. invites Putin to G20 summit

The U.S. administration has sent Russian President Vladimir Putin an invitation to the December summit of the Group of Twenty, which will be held December 14–15 in Doral, a suburb of Miami (Florida).

This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at a press conference following a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, reports TASS.

"We have invited President Putin. We hope that he will accept the invitation," Rubio said.
