Zelensky: If Russia continues attacks on Ukraine's energy systems, it faces a hard winter
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that if Russia continues its attacks on his country's energy infrastructure, Moscow will also face a hard winter.
As Ukrainian media report, Zelensky said this during a speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
"Ukrainians understand that this winter may be very harsh for us. In response, we will have no choice but to make this winter painful for Russia as well," the President of Ukraine stated.
According to Zelensky, if Russia continues its attacks on Ukraine's energy systems and heating supply, Kyiv will respond to it. He emphasized that this is precisely why it is important to take steps toward de-escalation before winter arrives.
The President of Ukraine also added that his country did not choose war, but is defending itself.
