Bloomberg: F-35 components mistakenly delivered to China

Potentially classified components of the American F-35 fighter jet were mistakenly sent to China.

This was reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.

According to the publication, the parts manufactured by Lockheed Martin, including a cockpit canopy and a weapons bay door, were shipped in May from Australia to the United States for possible repair or disposal. However, UPS, for reasons that remain unclear, delivered them to Hong Kong.

It is noted that the components were produced using classified technologies that provide the aircraft with radar stealth. According to sources, the Chinese authorities received the parts but have not yet returned them and may study the potentially classified components of the fighter jet.

Pentagon representatives previously stated that they are working to return the components and to determine the circumstances of what happened.
