EU commissioner urges Europeans to buy Armenian products
EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos has called on Europeans to buy Armenian goods and products.
She wrote about this on her Instagram page.
"We decided to open our market to almost 80% of Armenian products, from apricots and cherries to tomatoes and flowers. We want to provide new opportunities to Armenian farmers and producers after Russia restricted access to its markets because of Armenia's democratic choice to move closer to Europe. One of these products is the famous Armenian lavash. Last year I visited a traditional bakery and saw how it is made. It is very tasty," Kos wrote.
The commissioner urged Europeans to pay attention to Armenian products during their weekly shopping. According to her, such a choice can support Armenian farmers and producers, as well as the right of the Armenian people to independently determine their own future.
